TOP 100 Award: Ranga Yogeshwar Honors EKC.AG for Innovation Achievements

Overlingen – Recognition at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates EKC.AG from Würzburg on their TOP 100 award. The award ceremony will take place on Friday, June 28, in Weimar for all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist accompanies the 31st edition of the innovation competition as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, EKC.AG particularly impressed in the “Innovation Success” category within size class A (up to 50 employees). This is the second time the company has been recognized as a top innovator.

In the TOP 100 company profile published for the occasion, it states (excerpt):

Since 2021, the company has been trading not only in fuels and industrial minerals such as chrome ore, raw bauxite, graphite, and quartz but also in petrochemicals. “The raw materials trade requires global market knowledge and expert insight,” says CEO Vladimir Platunov. “We have leveraged our expertise to explore new trading fields and thus attract new customers.” According to Platunov, three factors contributed to the company’s 50 percent revenue increase in 2022: trend awareness, entry into a new trading field, and digital streamlining of business processes. The eleven-member team identified a trend in the bauxite trade, used to produce aluminum and refractory bricks. By establishing a branch in Shanghai, they were able to generate new sales opportunities. The medium-sized company entered the petrochemicals trade only in 2021 and has since convinced increasingly larger customers of the high quality of its raw materials over the last three years. “We recognized the market signals and responded quickly,” explains Vladimir Platunov.
